About the decline in purchasing power - the pressure to consumption

Posted by

The managers of Many are very embarrassed, the latter manifest more and more clearly their discontent about a purchasing power which would be decreasing.

Apparently, it should be easy to dismiss any claim in relation to this hypothetical decrease.

Indeed, and on this point almost all experts is in perfect agreement, the real purchasing power (the word is important) does not decline (*)

But then, why not explain where the error - widely shared - comes   from?

This one is actually unavowable.

In our society based on overconsumption and scarcity, both of which play with desire; envy; of the comparison between oneself and the other, yesterday, today and tomorrow (levers: the PUB, fashion ...) what is more important is the subjective perception related to the gap between what everyone desires and the resistance - in relation with the evolution of the pecuniary resources and the fall of the prices - that exerts the real one on this desire.

Thus, when the consumer receives the pressure to consume a flat-screen TV, a new generation mobile phone, a new car, new food products (medical foods) ... for too long a time, dissatisfaction in return seeks its cause and seizes the only available "the purchasing power drops"

Of course, the real explanation: "it is the acceleration, on you, of the pressure to purchase which triggers NATURALLY (it is made for that, but in times of economic crisis, is sometimes excessive) this frustration (* *) " is not available.
The victim of this condition can not be told that she is incited to use drugs (a useless stimulant for the person's development) and at more and more massive doses.

Let us bet that our publicists will know how to create the salutary diversion which will shake the mud of the pond on which our boat slides. Thus will disappear at least for a time: and corpses in decomposition at the bottom of the water (useless purchases) and our reflection on the surface (our loss of substance and existence).

Everything is better for those who do not especially want to hear a combination of foul words such as "sustainable decline"

It is absolutely urgent that the trap question of the "loss of the purchasing power of the many" be buried, if necessary in a serious crisis.
While waiting for this beneficial and indispensable calamity, the Minister of the economy creates for the eye of the Numbers a screen of smoke in 5 baskets of caddies.

* at least in France ... it is not quite the same in countries like Italy in which the national currency has voluntarily been overvalued at the time of the changeover to the Euro. With as positive - but provisional - consequences of a devaluation, and as negative consequences - but lasting these - those of a devaluation!
